As we draw nearer and nearer to our favourite spooky season, the horror has begun creeping up on us. If you have already made plans for Halloween Horror Nights in Singapore, why not also take a trip to Malaysia for a one-of-a-kind Junji Ito Horror House in Lalaport, Kuala Lumpur?

Fans of the enigmatic manga The Junji Ito Horror Comic Collection created by renowned manga artist Junji Ito would be ecstatic to learn that it is making a seasonal pit stop in Kuala Lumpur at Lalaport from 28 September to 30 November 2023.

If you ask me, this is the perfect opportunity to gain a new immersive perspective to his works! You’ll get to explore over ten of Junji Ito’s most famous stories in this special feature such as Tomie and Uzumaki

The exhibition is split into two main halls: Hall A “Hall of Vengeance” and Hall B ”Vile of Evil”. The hallmark of these two halls are the showcase of original scripts as well as some unreleased original artwork hand-drawn by Junji Ito himself. There is also a “Secret Section” Hall C, where you’ll find iconic art pieces only few get to see.

However, I’m sure most will be excited for the immersive (and terrifying) horror experience that might include novel jumpscares, so make sure you go extra prepared!

Do take note that each ticket purchase comes with an exclusive face mask as well as a S$5.80 (RM20) voucher that can be used to purchase merchandise from the official store.

It would also delight some that as long as you purchase the tickets before 29 September, a S$2.90 (RM10) discount applies as part of your early bird purchase.

I must say that if you plan to head up to Kuala Lumpur, it would be wise to plan your trip depending on whether it falls during  weekdays or weekends. A single hall on weekdays would be S$14.20 (RM49) and a double would be S$22.95 (RM79), whereas the prices for a single and double respectively on a weekend is S$17.13 (RM59) and S$25.85 (RM89).
