Test drive a Mercedes-Benz EV, silk-screen a tote bag, build your own unique scent & more at this free home and lifestyle festival with over 70 booths

Back for its second edition, GREEN HOUSE 2023 is set to bring you on a unique shopping expedition. Taking place on 8 and 9 July 2023, GREEN HOUSE is Singapore’s first and largest immersive retail experience that hopes to inspire a low-carbon-footprint lifestyle. This year’s affair promises to be bigger and better than before with over 70 brands and partners taking over Castlery’s Orchard flagship store. The best part, admission is free!

The event will feature a wide range of local sustainable home and lifestyle products. Unlike regular fairs and festivals, the GREEN HOUSE event will be segregated into four different zones, each transformed into the ideal sustainable homeA Home That Comforts, A Home That Nurtures, A Home That Inspires, and A Home That Recharges

Instead of shopping at booths, you’ll be exploring the fair through various “home-like” set-ups — kinda like walking through IKEA.

You’ll also be able to sample, touch, and feel the products first-hand and interact with the friendly staff on-site to learn more about your favourite products.

There will be products ranging from beauty and personal care, to fashion, food and beverages, home decor, and even apparel for your little ones. As most of these brands are online businesses, this is your chance to look, touch and feel the items in its physical form.

Some exciting new brands that you can look forward to shopping at the festival include Wake the Crew, studio PLNTY, and Leavande by Electrolux. Well-known names like homeware brand Gentle Objects, lifestyle brand Weave Home, and eco fashion brand Esse will also be setting up shop at the event.

Have you ever tried (or even heard of) eggless egg? Well, me neither but now you can give this unique creation a go at Hegg, a Singapore-headquartered start-up that created a plant-based egg powder that can be used for baking, steaming, and frying.

Apart from shopping, there are also engaging workshops, talks, and other activities planned for the two-day event. You can even get to take one of Mercedes-Benz’s Electric Vehicles for a test drive — I don’t know about you but I’m very excited for this. For all drivers out there still on the fence about converting to an EV, Mercedes will also be holding talks to help shed light on owning an EV.

For those who prefer a little hands-on activity, you can take part in other workshops like silk-screening your own tote bag, customising your own deodorant, and more. There will also be talks conducted by industry professionals on a series of topics like leather tanning and urban farming. You can check out the full list of workshops and register for one here
