McDonald’s Singapore has proven their loyalties to the ARMY (BTS fanbase) by showing their love for BangTan with past collaborations. Remember the extremely hyped BTS go-to meal complete with matching packaging and cups? This time around, the beloved fast food chain is releasing a new collaboration featuring the adorable BT21 characters.
The collaboration is available from 27 April 2023, at all outlets, with burgers wrapped in special packaging featuring Koya, RJ, Shooky, Chimmy, TaTa, Cooky and Van. Although we’d hoped for the adorable figurines launched in McDonald’s Korea (as seen below), it’s still a treat for BT21 fans.
In case you’re wondering what BT21 has anything to do with the BTS brand — here’s a little crash course for you. BT21 is a special collaboration between BTS and LINE FRIENDS that was launched in 2017. Each of the adorable characters was created by a member of the group and bears their own unique personality.
Along with the BT21 collaboration, McDonald’s will also be bringing back the spicy Jjang! Jjang! Burgers. The burger features a tender crispy chicken thigh drenched in a sweet and spicy yangnyeom sauce. There’s also a saucy and juicy beef version, which comprises our favourite beef patty, now spiced with kimchi.
Pair your burgers with the Lychee Oolong Frappé — a burst of rich, fruity flavours with hints of roasted Oolong — and the crowd-favourite Crisscut® Fries.
Mcdonald’s has finally announced the “special surprise” which they have been teasing all week long. ARMY and UNISTARS, it’s time to feed your love for BTS and BT21 with this limited edition BT21 Ceramic Set. Launching on 4 May at 11am, the set consists of a bowl, plate, and mug all decorated with the cute characters. Your meal is about to get happier when you eat out of this cute set.
The set costs S$19.90 with the purchase of selected Jjang! Jjang! Burger meals and is only available while stocks last — you’d wanna be quick to get your hands on this before it’s all sold out! MyM members will be able to score themselves an early access on 3 May, between 3pm to 5pm. However, each store is only limited to 50 units — may the odds be in your favour.
