Talula Hill Farm Resort is located just 1.5 hours away from the Johor Bahru Checkpoint and less than 20 minutes away from Kluang.
This eco-friendly resort doubles as an organic fruit, animal and vegetable farm. You can choose to stay at their Muji-inspired cabins, or just spend an afternoon at their cafe with panoramic views of the hills and valleys.
The deluxe, loft, and group cabins are decked out in minimalist wooden furniture reminiscent of Muji’s soothing vibes. It makes for great photos especially with the range of mountain peaks right outside the balconies.
Enjoy your breakfast at the open-air cafe or take a seat indoors. Regardless of where you choose, the dreamy green hills will be visible, so you don’t have to worry. There’s even an option of a breakfast picnic set, allowing you to further immerse yourself in the views.
The cafe serves an array of Western and Asian contemporary food, with classic mains like Pan Seared Salmon with Salsa (S$13.48, RM46) and Aglio Olio with Poached Egg (S$9.96, RM34). They also offer Japanese dishes like donburi (from S$11.13, RM38) as well.
They have fresh salads prepared using farm-grown vegetables and other aesthetic desserts and drinks (from S$5.27, RM18) to cool you down on a hot summer day
You can get closer to nature by volunteering in their vegetable gardens, or try your hand at fishing by their pontoon by the farm pond. You can also feed their adorable goats, rabbits, geese and other furry, feathery friends at the animal huts. In fact, you’ll find them roaming everywhere throughout the resort at their own leisurely pace.
If you’re really lucky, you might even be able to spot elephants in the distance.
Take a cue from the farm animals living their best lives here and set up a tent, light up a campfire and BBQ away as you chat into the night. Why not do some stargazing on Gunung Lambak as well? The hike up the mountain is pretty accessible, with paved roads, clear trails and railings.
