Being an introvert in Singapore is tough. It seems that even the most ulu of spaces have crowds of people.

So, where should we go if we just want to get away from it all or spend some quiet time with loved ones?

This place at Mosque Street in Chinatown might be the answer.

The Social Chamber is the new kid on the block when it comes to 24/7 private rooms in Singapore.

Y’all should probably know the reasons why such spaces quickly grew in popularity over the years.

From providing a safe space for birthday celebrations and solo relaxation to intimate dates (don’t think otherwise!), these rooms let you get away from prying eyes whenever you need them.

Considering The Social Chamber’s location, they are also perfect for pre-drinking sessions before hitting the clubs in Clarke Quay.

Choose from six themed rooms: Dungeon Room (two to four pax), Japanese Room (six to eight pax), Jungle Room (four to six pax), Space Room (four to six pax), Wizard Room (six to eight pax) and Mystery Room (one to two pax).

The Dungeon Room is decorated with exposed bricks, whereas the Japanese Room is fitted with a Maneki-neko (lucky cat) window cover, paper lanterns and posters of famous Japanese paintings that everyone will recognise.

On the other hand, the Jungle Room is when you want to inject a little greenery into your space. Prefer some place darker? Opt for the Space Room, where you won’t get a sensory overload from bright lights with its purple-hued projector light.

Harry Potter fans, you gotta book the Wizard Room. This room is literally meant for y’all as The Social Chamber spared no expense in decorating the room with all sorts of Harry Potter merchandise.

Be it posters of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin houses to the wizard/witch’s pointed hats, each item will transport you to a magical world far away from here.

The Mystery Room has a secret nickname that’s not widely publicised as it can be a bit too spicy for the general audience. Otherwise dubbed as the 50 Shades of Grey room, it is designed exactly in the way you think it is but in a more lite version, of course.

The walls in this room are sparsely covered with pages from the popular book series, while a steel wall grid panel displays rather kinky leather gear. A red carpet is placed in the middle of the room, emulating the iconic red room (not me exposing how much I know about this film).

However, regardless of which room you go with, each of them comes with an auto-lock door for extra safety, smart TVs, sound systems and charging ports.

And, yes, there’s free wifi here, alongside shower facilities if you need to freshen up.

Another great thing is that you’re allowed to bring your own food.
