Having only seen and heard of good reviews about these breads all over social media, I’ve been highly anticipating the launch of Bakery 1946 as it boasts popular Korean flavours like hotteok, japchae and more from just S$2.50.

This is your chance to have a taste of Korea if it has been on your bucket list for the longest time!

If you didn’t already know, Bakery 1946 is widely known for their signature K-Apple Bread (S$5.90)

Made with red yeast rice dough, the soft and fluffy bread was filled with juicy apple chunks in sweet jam, balanced out with a rich cream cheese.

They also have a box of 6 (S$35.50) which is packaged just like the real deal (how cute is that!).

One of the breads which caught my eye was from their line-up of new bakes features lifelike vegetable-shaped buns that are actually vegetable-flavoured

Now, before you grimace at the sound of vegetables, hear me out.

The Carrot Bread (S$3.90) has a chewier texture and is filled with smooth and rich cream cheese, along with chewy carrot bits.

If you’re feeling adventurous, they also have Corn Bread (S$3.90) and Garlic Manju (S$3.90). The latter certainly packed a punch; despite being filled to the brim with white bean paste filling, it was packed with loads of garlicky flavour.

You can’t miss out on their signature red bean series like the Original Daegu Sweet Red Bean Bun (S$3.50).

It’s a soft and fluffy bun, generously stuffed with sweet hand-boiled red bean paste. I loved how there were still chunks of red beans, without the filling being overly sweet.

It can’t get any better than that.

After trying these breads for myself, they definitely did not disappoint.

You seriously knead to hurry down and try these breads out for yourself before the queues get too crazy — are you planning to drop by soon?
