This one’s for all my fellow beef lovers, who are probably no strangers to Boeuf, the viral Telok Ayer steakhouse that made waves earlier this year with its enticing free-flow ribeye weekend promotion (that’s still ongoing).
Here’s a value-for-money option for those looking to beef up without splurging too much: the steakhouse has launched a limited-time wagyu set menu that’s available all day on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from now till 31 July 2023!
The set comprises four courses priced at S$99 for two persons, which is pretty value-for-money if you ask me, given the generous portions and premium quality.
Start off with the signature Burratina Di Puglia (U.P. S$28) — creamy burratina perched atop salad greens and toasted pine nuts, served alongside juicy roasted cherry tomatoes and house-made crisp chutney crostini with a generous drizzle of truffle balsamic.
Burrata is arguably the best appetiser out there, but it’s obviously even better paired with crusty bread, tomatoes, and balsamic.
Move on to the Beef Bourguignon (U.P. S$42), a hearty stew of thick, melt-in-mouth Australian wagyu beef cheek chunks, carrots, swiss brown mushrooms, and potato puree (we couldn’t get enough of it) in a rich red wine sauce.
Mop up all that beefy goodness with slices of toasted baguette, and pretend like you’re in a French bistro (somewhere in Burgundy, perhaps?).
The third course, and star of the show, is the Australian Stockyard F1 Wagyu Picanha (U.P. S$34), a perfectly pink, juicy, and smoky picanha (also known as sirloin cap) served with roasted garlic (more, please!) and burnt rosemary.
I don’t typically go for leaner cuts like picanha, but those who prefer steak that’s fuller in flavour and on the slightly chewy side will enjoy this!
You can also go down the more premium route by topping up for Japanese wagyu (for a bougee Boeuf moment)!
Choose between the more subtle Japanese Iwate F1 Wagyu Sirloin (+S$39) and the ultra-indulgent, gorgeously marbled Japanese Miyazaki A5 Wagyu Sirloin (+S$69), both of which come with sauteed greens, celeriac puree, and aromatic Kampot pepper jus.
A sweet ending awaits in the form of a French Dessert Platter, which consists of the iconic Crème Brûlée (U.P. S$13), Dark Chocolate Mini Brownies and Assorted Macarons with a soft, nougat-like filling (ask for the citrus flavour, if you can).
If you’re in the mood to pair your beef with a tipple or two, every order of the set grants you exclusive access to Boeuf’s Secret Wine List.
Being able to pick and choose from a selection of wines that are rated above 90 pointers by renowned wine critics across the globe? Don’t mind if I do.
Once again, all these can be enjoyed by two diners for just S$99++, so you’d better visit Boeuf for wagyu, wine, and a whole lotta feasting before the promotion ends on 31 July!
