We’re all well familiar with the popular animal and pet cafes all over Johor Bahru by now. But of course, it doesn’t hurt to have more options, especially when your go-to pet cafe is crowded with patrons.
Well, great news! We have yet another underrated cat cafe in JB that you should definitely add to your (ever growing) list.
Ohayo Cat Cafe is located in Skudai, and for just S$4.29 (RM15), you cuddle with the cute little kitty cats lounging all around the cafe. The entry fee will also entitle you to a free drink — and trust me, after playing with the kitties, you’re gonna need a drink.
The cafe decor is kept minimal, which gives the cats (and you) plenty of space to play around. As you step into the cafe, you’ll be greeted by the eager furry felines waiting for you to give them your attention.
The cafe is home to over 10 insanely adorable cats, with a mix of young playful kittens and several older cats who prefer to be left alone — don’t we all feel like that sometimes?
Apart from playing with cats, Ohayo Cat Cafe also has a pretty extensive food and drinks menu for you to get your fill after playing with your feline friends.
On the food front, you can expect to find a selection of rice bowls and noodles, as well as light snacks like curly fries, popcorn chicken and nuggets amongst others.
But their specialty lies in their sweet treats like Lotus Earl Grey Cake (S$3.15, RM11), Caramel Affogato (S$2.86, RM10), Matcha Affogato (S$2.86, RM10), Summer Swiss Roll (S$3.15, RM11) and more.
Just how good are we talking about here? Well, they’re so good, even the cats want to have a bite of it!
Apart from cakes and mains, Ohayo Cat Cafe also has a selection of croissants ranging from savoury options like Croissant with Hot Dog (S$2.86, RM10) and Croissant with Ham (S$2.86, RM10), as well as sweet toppings like Croissant Full of Berries (S$3.43, RM12) and Croissant Full of Ice Cream (S$3.43, RM12).
Drinks-wise, you can find your regular espresso-based coffees on the menu. But if you’re gonna redeem your free drink, you should totally go for their more interesting concoctions like the Coconut Latte (S$2.29, RM8), Dalgona Coffee (S$2.29, RM8), Jasmine brew tea (S$1.71, RM6) or even the Lemon Coke (S$1.43, RM5). Trust me, you won’t regret it!
I don’t know about you but I can never say no to some good cat therapy. There’s just something about cuddling with these adorable kittens , watching them get the zoomies and acting silly that just instantly puts me in a good mood. I guess you know where I’m gonna be this weekend!
