16 ice cream shops in Singapore with unique flavours served in croffles, lava cookies & more

by Jesslyn Lye

With how hot and humid Singapore is, ice cream is practically a necessity. It’s one of the best ways to cool down and feel refreshed with a crisp cone and your favourite flavour of choice in hand.

Honestly, a block of chocolate ice cream in rainbow bread from the neighbourhood ice cream uncle is more than enough to make my day… But for days where you want to indulge in artisanal gelato that come in unique flavours — here are 16 ice cream shops where one scoop just won’t be enough.

1. Monarchs & Milkweed Gelato

Offering flavours such as Soursop Mint, Brown Butter Sage, and Ispahan — that’s lychee, rose, and raspberry — Monarchs & Milkweed Gelato is where you’ll find smooth and creamy gelato with complex and innovative flavours.

When you visit, it’s also worth having your ice cream in a cone, because their cones are made in-house every day with fragrant French butter, complementing the gelato perfectly.

Monarchs & Milkweed Gelato was started by ex-fine dining pastry chefs who wanted to bring quality gelato to diners, and it’s safe to say, they’ve definitely succeeded.
