Menu

Their signature brunch menu items include Luncheon Bun (S$24), made with house-made luncheon meat, omelette, cheddar, and tamarind tomato jam, served with tater tots. They also took a decadent take on our beloved local breakfast. Their Kaya, Bacon & Eggs (S$22) pairs Kaya French toast with crispy bacon, fried egg, and Okinawa black sugar caramel.

Other unique mains include Bak Chor & Bacon Udon (S$28), a bacon Bolognese udon topped with braised mushrooms and pork. For something refreshing, try their “Rojak” Salad (S$22), which is tossed with grilled pineapple, shredded cabbage, cucumbers, apple slices, tempeh, crushed peanuts, and crispy fritters.

Vegetarian options are also available! Park Side offer dishes like Woodland Pesto (S$24), Botanical Bowl (S$24), and Garden Burger (S$24), which features a house-made veggie patty paired with mango chutney, mint, dill and coriander.

Drinks

Other than mains, Park Side’s drinks menu is also something to look forward to. They range from coffee and slushies to cocktails and wines. Their signatures include Taro Cloud Genmaicha (S$9) and Sweet After Rain (S$9), which combine the fragrant sweetness of Gula Melaka and pandan sea salt cream with cold brew coffee. 

Desserts

Craving something sweet? Park Side offers soft serve sundaes, pudding and cakes with options like Ondeh Ondeh Pudding (S$16) and Logan and Wolfberry Pudding (S$16).

A space for all

The cafe is welcoming to everyone, featuring kid-friendly menus and a breezy al fresco area where pets are welcome to join. Shaped by its surroundings, the entire space feels open and unhurried, with terracotta floors, soft furnishings, and gentle storybook details that reflect the park-side setting. 

So, if you are at Singapore Botanical Gardens, make a pit stop at Park Side for a break between walks around the garden.

Unlike its original Serene Centre location, where Peh Gao Coffeeshop operates by day, and Orh Gao Taproom takes over in the evening, the New Bahru outpost brings both identities together under an all-day concept. 

As the only kiosk to serve breakfast, they open from 9am with a dedicated morning menu. From 11am onwards, they will move into their full offering, spanning rice and noodle dishes, shareable plates and a 14-line tap programme dedicated entirely to Singapore craft breweries. Food is available until 9pm, while craft beers continue pouring until 11pm. 

The New Bahru menu expands the brand’s familiar Asian comfort food approach with new dishes created for the all-day format, alongside a selection of signatures that regulars will recognise from Serene Centre.

Menu 

A highlight on the new menu is the Hokkien Mee Tai Mak ($18+), which reworks a familiar local favourite around the soft, chewy texture of mee tai mak. It brings together the savoury depth of housemade stock with the quintessential combination of tiger prawns, fish cake, pork lard and sambal belachan, topped with spring onion and calamansi.

The new Chicken Skewers (S$13+) feature flavourful marinated chicken chunks, served with Orh Gao’s signature sambal and a touch of mayo for a lighter yet supremely flavour-forward plate. Meanwhile, the Chicken Skewer Salad (S$13+) gives the same marinated chicken a Vietnamese-style spin, tossed with fresh greens, peanuts, and chilli garlic dressing. Also new is the Chimichurri Pork Chop (S$15+), where a five-spice pork chop is finished with Asian chimichurri and calamansi.

Other familiar plates include the signature Kra Pow Mee Tai Mak (S$14+), Crab Fried Rice (S$16+), Crunchy Chicken Cartilage (S$11+), Har Cheong Gai (S$11+), Gao Vinegar Fries (S$9+), Tofu Dip + Chips (S$10+), Curry Mussels (S$19+), Sotong Bakar (S$18+) and Gao Gai Lan (S$11+). 

Their fried rice dishes also get the same treatment, layered with bigger flavour. The Pork Chop Fried Rice ($12+) pairs wok-fired egg fried rice with a charred five-spice pork chop, spring onions, and hae bee hiam, adding savoury depth and aromatic spice to the dish. 

Tobiko Prawn Fried Rice (S$12+) builds on the same wok-fired base with succulent tiger prawns, tobiko, spring onions and sambal, adding sweetness, brine and a satisfying pop of texture to each spoonful. 

Alongside these new additions, a selection of returning signatures keeps the New Bahru menu anchored in the flavours regulars know. Peh Gao’s kaya toast returns as a breakfast highlight, made with house made kaya without preservatives. The kaya is served in Kaya Butter (S$2.80+) and Kaya Peanut Butter (S$2.80+).

Other toast options include Sugar Butter (S$2.80+), Peanut Butter (S$2.80+) and Nutella (S$2.80+) toasts, available on their own or as part of a breakfast set with classic local beverages. 

An All-Local Craft Beer Programme 

Orh Gao Peh Gao’s New Bahru bar pours from 14 rotating taps dedicated entirely to Singapore craft breweries, placing local brewers at the centre of the experience. The line-up spans crisp lagers, IPAs, sours, stouts and seasonal releases, with weekly rotations that move between easy-drinking crowd favourites and more exploratory styles. Local breweries on regular rotation include Brewlander, Alive Brewing, Ren Min and Sunbird Brewery, with the selection refreshed regularly and occasional exclusive drops planned.

Beyond beer, the drinks menu includes cocktails, sake, and the all-new Kaya Toast Cocktail (S$18+), which features fragrant, nutty pandan-infused whisky tempered with creamy coconut cream, and sweetened with gula melaka.

To mark the brand’s 7th anniversary, Orh Gao has partnered with Rocky Ridge Brewing Co. to release a collaboration brew named Seven Hop Masters (S$19+), now pouring on tap at the New Bahru kiosk. Slightly hazy in appearance, the beer opens with fragrant notes of jasmine, lavender and white peach on the nose, before giving way to a crisp, citrus-forward finish with a clean, dry edge. 

For daytime and alcohol free options, new additions include Cold-Pressed Juices (S$7+) in orange and berry, Kombucha (S$6+) in ginger lemon and apple crisp, Organic Sugar-Free Flavoured Sodas (S$6+) in yuzu and guava, and Coconut Water (S$6+), alongside the usual suspects of kopi and teh. 

A community event is planned to celebrate Orh Gao Peh Gao’s official opening at New Bahru in early July, and more monthly events are in the works. Details will be announced across Orh Gao’s channels.

Part café, bar, music venue and community space, Rally Clubhouse is a place where people can move naturally between different moments of the day, from coffee meetings and working lunches to creative workshops, open decks sessions, live performances, dinners, drinks and late-night conversations.

A Clubhouse for All 

With capacity for up to 120 guests, Rally Clubhouse has been intentionally designed to feel lived-in rather than programmed. 

At the centre of the space sits a communal bar, surrounded by indoor and outdoor seating, a DJ booth, kitchen, takeaway counter and dedicated spaces for baked goods and rotating activations. 

There will also be a photobooth by Solace Studios, which encourages guests to capture moments together, while a mini archive featuring memorabilia from Zouk’s history connects Rally’s future-facing outlook with the community that helped build the brand over the past 35 years. 

Soundtrack of the Clubhouse 

Music has always been at the heart of Zouk. At Rally Clubhouse, music is woven into everyday experience through open decks sessions, DJ academies, listening parties, live vocals, community-led gatherings and informal DJ sets. 

From established artists to emerging selectors, Rally aims to create opportunities for people to encounter music in a more personal and accessible way. 

Food 

The food programme is built around the same philosophy as the space itself: familiar, generous and designed to be shared. Korio anchors the menu with its cult-favourite sandwiches and doughnuts, including The Chook (S$17.50), Mushroom Melt (S$16.50) and Ham & Cheese (S$18.50). 

Alongside Korio, Rally’s all-day menu spans comfort food, bar bites and sharing plates designed for different moments throughout the day. Guests can drop in for a quick meal, gather over snacks with friends, or settle in for dinner before the music starts, with a wide selection spanning decadent Dirty Fries (S$12) layered with beef gravy, cheese sauce and pickled jalapeño hot sauce, to Bangers & Mash (S$15) served with caramelised onion gravy, sausage and fried shallots.

Another highlight is their tacos with fillings such as Spiced Beef Brisket (S$15), Charred Lemongrass Pork (S$15) and Prawn Crisps (S$13). 

In the future, Rally will also introduce a late-night supper collaboration that will bring a distinctly local take on supper culture into the clubhouse as the evening unfolds. 

A Platform for Communities 

Beyond food and music, Rally Clubhouse is designed as a platform for people, ideas, and shared experiences. Programming throughout the year will include open decks sessions, flea markets, arts and skills workshops ranging from floral jamming to photography, panel discussions, fireside chats, listening parties, product launches, community meetups, pet-friendly gatherings, and more.

Opening Week Celebrations

To mark its opening, Rally Clubhouse will offer a series of launch-week offers to guests. From now to 30 June 2026, guests can enjoy half-pint Asahi Super Dry draught beers at $3++ and a complimentary Korio sandwich (selections apply) with the first 30 redemptions daily from 29 June 2026 to 5 July 2026. 

The opening week programme is Rally’s way of welcoming guests into the clubhouse and inviting both new and familiar faces to experience the space for themselves. After all, every clubhouse starts with opening its doors.

Previously a beloved name in Tanjong Katong since 1998, Madeleine’s has been revived by 22-year-old SHATEC graduate Zac and his sister Vernice, who grew up with the brand and are bringing it back with guidance from Madeleine’s original founder. While staying true to its signature Portuguese egg tarts, the new concept now expands into a sit-down cafe experience featuring comforting Macau-inspired dishes and modern creations.

We tried their iconic Original Portuguese Egg Tart (S$2.50/pc, S$15 for a box of 6pcs – buy 6 get 1 free), alongside new highlights such as the Gula Melaka Portuguese Egg Tart (S$2.80/pc), Pork Chop Bun (S$5.90), Minchee Rice (S$10.90), Pan-Roasted African Chicken (S$9.80) and their unique Salted Lemon Coke and Sprite (S$1.80/can).

The spotlight was definitely the Portuguese Egg Tarts — a very crusty pastry coating with a caramelized custard that was not too sweet. The moment you bite into it, the flaky pastry shatters into a buttery crisp that balances out the warm custard. For that extra fragrance, try the Gula Melaka Egg Tart (S$2.80/pc) that finishes with a rich toasted note.

Using house-made buns, the Pork Chop Bun (S$5.90) is layered with mustard-seed sauerkraut and a sweet shoyu glaze over the charred pork chop.

The Pan-Roasted African Chicken (S$9.80) comes with a chicken that packs a punch from the herb marination, along a side of couscous and spicy coconut sauce, giving an overall bold and robust flavour profile.  

Under the classic Macanese Minchee Rice (S$10.90) hides a 63-degree C-cooked egg, which glues the savoury beef-and-pork Asian ragu to the rice and potato confit — an overall hearty ad comforting dish. A vegetarian version is also available. 

To go with all the main dishes are the Salted Lemon drinks (S$1.80/can) that comes with a pickled plum. It surprisingly goes very well with the gassiness of the drink, and rather addictive. 

Leaning on Zac’s SHATEC training and Vernice’s baking expertise, there are also other Macau-inspired dishes, including airy and crisp Bolo Bun (S$3.50) with flavoured butter and vanilla cream.

Available as a seasonal special for a limited time only, adventurous diners can go for the roasted Pan Roasted Quail (S$15; S$8 for half-portion), which is influenced by Macau’s famous pigeon speciality. The mild and delicate meat is flavoured with garlic sriracha, ground roasted rice powder, and charred lemon.

Adding a contemporary spin to Macau’s traditional beef stew is a fusion pairing: Beef Stew Capellini (S$9.90) instead of rice or thick noodles. Affordable Breakfast Bundles (S$4.50 each) and refreshing dessert options, including Coated Tropical Fruits (S$6.90) and Coconut Tapioca Pudding (S$4.90), are also on the menu. 

Best of all, you can enjoy all these comforting Macanese food without GST, so head down to Madeleine’s this weekend and try all these dishes out!

The grand opening marks six years since founder Sophia Yeow began baking from her home kitchen, starting a journey that has taken the brand from a two-product home delivery operation to a central kitchen, and now, a permanent home in one of Singapore’s most storied heritage neighbourhoods of Katong and Joo Chiat. 

Founded by Sophia and her daughter Nicole Lian (Managing Director of Tiap Tiap), Tiap Tiap is built around the simple conviction that food is equally about what is on the plate and who gathers around it. This philosophy is embedded in everything from the brand’s recipes to the shop itself, where guests can savour a cup of coffee or tea with a slice of cake, while deciding on a cake to purchase for a loved one.

Sweets

Sophia initially started with just three items: pandan chiffon cake, radish and yam kueh. The Pandan Chiffon Cake, made with Japanese cake flour and hand-pressed pandan juice is served with a separately bottled gula melaka for drizzle. 

A guilt-free pandan chiffon, using monk fruit as a sugar replacement, was developed over six months of recipe testing and validated with continuous glucose monitors, giving customers a healthier option to indulge in. 

The menu has since grown to include Ondeh Ondeh Cake, Banoffee Pie, and Chocolate Cream Cake that reimagines the heartland roll cake in an elevated form with Van Houten chocolate rice and Valrhona dark chocolate.

Savoury 

The savoury take-home range draws on Sophia’s Peranakan heritage and personal culinary history, spanning paper-wrapped chicken, Teochew ngoh hiang, Nyonya curry midwings, and seafood yuteow, all made from fresh ingredients. These items, sold frozen with cooking instructions included, are Tiap Tiap’s answer to the busy household, making heritage food accessible to time-starved professionals and working parents whenever the occasion calls for it.

Snacks

The shop’s snack counter features fish keropok made with mackerel, hand-stirred Nyonya kaya made without egg whites for a much rounder and umami spread, and DIY muah chee designed to be eaten cold, allowing customers to store it in the fridge and enjoy it without worrying about it hardening the moment it leaves the steam warmer.

If you live in the North-East area of Singapore, there’s good news for you. The Sports Arina (TSA) has recently opened its Jalan Kayu facility, bringing together a collection of spaces for different sports and activities in one hub.

What’s Open at TSA @ Jalan Kayu

Indoor padel courts

One of the first things you will notice when you step into TSA @ Jalan Kayu is a series of padel courts, easily recognised by their transparent ‘glass cages’. For those of you who want to expand your range of racket sports, perhaps it’s time to give this increasingly popular sport a go. 

Combining elements of tennis and squash, padel might potentially become the next craze in Singapore after pickleball. Its courts are pretty unique in their setup, which means they are not as common as other racket sport facilities in Singapore. So, these new courts at TSA @ Jalan Kayu are definitely a win, giving those of us who want to try or play the sport more often more locations to do so.

TSA @ Jalan Kayu’s padel courts are situated in a spacious, fully sheltered area. Big fans at the top and openings at the side allow maximum airflow, creating a cooling environment amidst long games. There are also comfortable seating areas where you can chill while watching your friends play or while waiting for your turn.

Air-conditioned pickleball courts

Air conditioning and pickleball courts — name a more iconic duo. Most pickleball courts in Singapore are either exposed to the elements or are incredibly competitive to book if they are indoors. And of course, finding air-conditioned courts is even harder.

Thankfully, there are more options available now at TSA @ Jalan Kayu. There are 10 pickleball courts available for booking here. All of these courts are housed in one enclosed, air-conditioned hall, separated by mesh dividers.

This might be one of the most comfortable pickleball facilities we’ve seen, and the prices for bookings are pretty reasonable, too. Booking fees for the public start at S$25/hr for off-peak periods and S$35/hr at peak periods.

Table tennis academy

If you’re someone who prefers something even more fast-paced and close-up, head over to the Feng Tianwei International Table Tennis Academy (FTTA), located near the padel courts. Here, you can book a table starting at S$10/hr on weekdays and S$20/hr on weekends.

Want to take the sport seriously and even play professionally one day? You can sign up for courses with certified trainers and receive expert coaching. For more information on classes and training programmes, visit the FTTA website.

Other facilities 

If you still can’t get enough of racket sports, you’ll be happy to know that there are also badminton courts available for booking at TSA @ Jalan Kayu. But beyond the sports facilities, what makes this facility special is also a couple of other inviting spaces you can find here.

For those of you who want to recover after an intense game or a long day at work, consider visiting Bathhouse. You can choose to find rest in an ice bath, a sauna, or a magnesium salt pool. For all the pilates enthusiasts, you can also check out WEmbrace Pilates, a Reformer Pilates studio located right beside Bathhouse. 

Coming Soon to TSA @ Jalan Kayu

While the existing facilities at TSA @ Jalan Kayu already make it a great sports hub, it isn’t actually complete yet. During our visit, we noticed areas that were still temporarily closed off or undergoing construction.

This includes Sports Schooling, founded by Olympic gold medalist Joseph Schooling. When open, it will operate a Swim Lab for children ages 3 and above. Lessons will be conducted in a heated learner pool so that kids can progressively pick up swimming.

New futsal courts of different sizes will also be opened to the public soon, providing another space where football players can book for their friendly matches. A refurbished basketball court will also be open, adding another sport you can enjoy here.

Accessibility and special rates

If you’re visiting TSA @ Jalan Kayu, one of the best ways to travel there is via the Sengkang LRT network. Just make sure you are on the right loop that brings you to Thanggam LRT station, which is located right outside the sports facility.

For those of you looking to play pickleball, padel or badminton, you would have to download Playtomic from the App Store or Google Play and make your court bookings via the app.

If you are a resident of the Jalan Kayu SMC, make sure to drop by the Booking Office at TSA @ Jalan Kayu and get yourself verified. This will allow you to enjoy special discounted rates for most facility bookings, which can range from 10% to 20% off.

Building on the success of its first store, this one will be even grander, spanning 2,000 square feet, making it the brand’s largest CBD outlet globally. We visited the store to try out their drinks, and here’s what we thought.

Signature drinks 

If you want to experience the Molly Tea hype yourself, here are some drinks you’ll find at the Raffles location. Here’s what we thought about the drinks. 

For first-timers, the Premium Jasmine Milk Tea (S$5.20) is a great place to start, pairing a fragrant jasmine tea with a smooth, creamy base. For something lighter and more refreshing, the Pistachio Jasmine Coconut (S$6.20) is a go-to. It combines nutty pistachio, floral jasmine, and a subtle coconut sweetness for a hydrating and satisfying drink in the Singapore heat.

Meanwhile, the White Champaca Oolong Milk Tea (S$5.20) stood out to us with its more aromatic profile, with a strong roasted oolong base and subtle floral notes. Matcha lovers can opt for the White Champaca Matcha (S$5.90), which balances earthy matcha flavours with the signature floral fragrance.

Lastly, we tried the Snowy Jasmine (S$6.50), topped with a cloud-like jasmine-infused whipped cream that adds richness to every sip. It was creamy, indulgent, and definitely not diet-approved.

Molly Tea exclusive pink pop-up 

Alongside the launch of its second outlet, Molly Tea is also bringing back its signature all-pink pop-up experience for a limited time. Running from 19 May to 4 June 2026 (excluding weekends and public holidays), the Orchard Central outlet will be transformed into a whimsical pink space filled with Instagram-worthy photo spots and a curated merchandise display wall.

For breakfast, their Chicken Sausage & Egg Muffin (S$13) makes for a comforting and filling start to the day.

Between Buns specialises in four types of bun that hug their flavour-packed proteins — signature brioche, sourdough, hoagie, and schiacciata breads, each paired with curated flavours that are loud but not overwhelming. 

If you are in the mood for something indulgent and sinful, get the Fried Chicken on Brioche Buns (S$12), the French Dip on Hoagie (S$20), or the Oxtail Melt on Sourdough (S$25) for that perfect mix of textures and flavour kick.

That said, you don’t have to worry about the flavours being overly heavy. With a thoughtful choice of ingredient pairings, enjoy those sandwiches without feeling guilty.

The Fried Chicken on Brioche Buns, for instance, comes with gherkins that add a punchy tartness to cleanse through the oiliness of the crispy, juicy chicken. Meanwhile, the pickled cucumber in the Oxtail Melt balances the fermented chilli mayo and richness of the meat with its refreshing acidity.

If you crave a cleaner palette, Between Deli also has you covered with options like Cauliflower Caesar on schiacciata (S$13). They also offer 2 salad styles— Roasted Chicken (S$16) and Broccoli & Avocado (S$14), which deliver the same refreshing crunch from the sandwiches.

Onigiri are usually the ultimate Japanese pocket-sized meal on the go, but Takamasa decides to change things up by offering a rare sit-down experience to onigiri, personally hand-rolling each piece in front of diners in his one-man-show-style counter setup.

Don’t be deceived by the restaurant’s size; the menu offers over 20 fillings to choose from, ranging across five tiers — S$4.90, S$5.90, S$6.90, S$10.90, and S$12.90.

Classic flavours include Ume (Sour Plum), Konbu (Soy-Simmered Konbu Seaweed), and Okaka (Soy-Marinated Bonito Flakes) from the starting tier. If you prefer something heartier, options like Sake Mayo (Salmon Flakes with Mayonnaise for S$5.90) offer a savoury, comforting pick, while premium fillings such as Toro Taku (Fatty Minced Toro with Pickled Radish for S$6.90) and Wagyu Sukiyaki (Sweet Soy-Braised Miyazaki Wagyu Beef for S$12.90) add a more umami-packed profile.

For a more filling meal, Onigiri Gon offers two different Onigiri Set Meals that come with your choice of two onigiri, miso soup and pickles, with prices depending on the selected fillings.

Pickle options include Kyuri Shiokouji (Koji Pickled Cucumber for S$2.90) and Yuzu Hakusai (Yuzu Pickled Chinese Cabbage for S$2.90). You can also choose to order the mix to get a taste of both.

For their miso soup selection, it goes beyond the usual, with options like Tonjiru (Sliced Pork and Vegetables for S$4.90), Nama Nori (Fresh Seaweed for S$2.90), and Tofu (Silken Tofu with Spring Onion for S$2.90).

The name of the store is derived from the Chinese words “陌” and “迹”, which mean “first impressions” and “lingering”, respectively. It highlights the café’s philosophy of being a space where people can slow down, find stillness, and soak in their environment. 

The 2-storey store is furnished with wood-panelled floors, windows and furniture, giving it a calming, earthy appearance. One of its most unique features is the display of beautiful, hand-crafted ceramic pieces, which are available for purchase. Each piece is intentionally modelled to represent seasons and festivals within the Chinese calendar.

Menu

Their menu is just as interesting, featuring a range of speciality coffees and desserts that are made fresh each day. Some signature drinks include Salted Cocoa Latte(S$12.80), Black Sesame Vienna(S$12.80), Hojicha Vienna(S$11.80), and more. 

Meanwhile, dessert selections feature inventive creations like the Cotton Cheesecake (S$12.80), presented in cheesecloth, resembling freshly strained cheese. Another interesting creation is its Soy Milk Cheesecake (S$14.80), which is a must-get if you’re a regular soy milk drinker. 

The Matcha Strawberry Cheesecake (S$15.80) also deserves the spotlight for its clean aesthetic, with fresh strawberries lining the cross-section, covered with an airy matcha mousse.

And the best part — you can pick out your own ceramic cup or plate for your food. This small interactive touch goes a long way in making the experience feel more personal and intimate.
