There’s an upcoming exhibition in town and this might be one of the most interesting ones yet! Recently, we have been getting some interesting exhibitions both in and nearby our tiny red dot.
What makes this exhibition different from the others, is the insanely well-designed interactive rooms. In fact, the overall production design of the exhibit is so abstract and artistically motivated that you would almost never expect who it’s for (at least I didn’t)!
Designed by the talented team behind Lucid Experiences, LKY: The Experience is a fully interactive exhibition for — you guessed it — the central founding father of Singapore.
However, this is not your ordinary historical exhibition.
Spanning over 17,000 square-feet in a three-storey building, LKY: The Experience provides for an IG-worthy backdrop to add to your profile whilst providing an immersive experience for you. With its stunning visuals and colourful aesthetic, this combination of educational and gorgeousness is what makes this exhibition so unique!
From 6 October to 31 December 2023, you’ll be able to be part of this colourful trip down Mr. Lee Kuan Yew’s memory lane that features over 20 interactive rooms.
Each room is designed to be modelled after reimagined iconic chapters of Mr. Lee’s life and they elevate your senses to a whole new perspective, with elements placed in each room that you are able to physically interact with.
Some exhibits also feature a “time dilation” element, bringing an emphasis of slowing time as you move through these artistic albeit trippy installations.
For instance, you’ll be able to find a reimagined version of Mr. Lee’s iconic Rainbow Quote in the rainbow room, symbolising the hopes and dreams that our former prime minister led Singapore toward.
With a large incorporation of art and technology as a core element in this exhibit, aficionados in digital art can expect to receive a phenomenal visual treat.
