Explore Singapore’s largest warship, experience a speed boat ride & more at the free-to-enter Navy@Vivo 2023

Following the footsteps of the RSAF who had a successful open house in September, Navy@Vivo 2023 is finally berthing at the shores of VivoCity after a four year hiatus, providing free entry for all and various fun activities like an immersive submarine exhibit, the chance to board RSN’s largest warship, and a speedy boat ride across our waters.

Navy@Vivo will run from 17 to 19 November 2023. An interactive shore exhibition will be set up at the Central Court of VivoCity, where visitors can learn more about the importance of the sea to our tiny island and how the Navy protects our nation.

The highlight of this year’s shore exhibit is a new submarine virtual reality simulator that is modelled after real training equipment. Visitors will get to have a hands-on experience of how underwater operations are conducted.

Not exciting enough? How about entering a multi-dimensional warzone at the immersive theatre experience, where you can learn how to deal with surface, air and underwater threats?

Now that you’ve gotten enough of virtual training, it’s time to get physical. Board the RSS Endeavour — their largest warship that totals to 141m — at VivoCity Promenade and get to learn first-hand what it takes to operate them.

You’ll be able to peek into the accommodation area of the crew members, get up close to the ship’s main gun and enter the bridge (command room) of the ship. You can also check out the S-70B Seahawk Naval Helicopter on the RSS Endeavour’s flight deck.

The excitement doesn’t end here. You can join the Navy for an exhilarating ride on board the Fast Craft Utility (FCUs). Expect stunning views of the Singapore skyline as you sail past landmarks like Bukom Island, and the Keppel and Brani container terminals.

Visit Navy@Vivo 2023 during sunset on any of the three days for a cool display of naval tradition. A military band and RSN personnel will march in uniform, treating you to some great opportunities for photographs before Singapore’s flag is lowered to signify the end of the day.

Don’t forget to catch the special live performances at VivoCity Amphitheatre by the Naval Diving Unit and the SAF Music and Drama Company. The elite divers will be flexing their skills with a Boat Physical Training demonstration, while the SAF Music and Drama Company will keep you entertained with energetic tunes.

The SAF Central Band will also present a special Night Under the Stars concert on 17 November.
