Did you know that the popular Taiwanese restaurant chain Din Tai Fung is turning 18? And to celebrate their 18th anniversary, Din Tai Fung Singapore will be adding Tang Baos, palm-sized xiao long bao, to their menu.
Sure you’ve probably already gobbled up your fair share of xiao long bao at Din Tai Fung but this giant supersized bao is also stuffed with more luxurious ingredient choices. The new Steamed Pork & Scallop Tang Bao (S$12.80) will not only be bigger in size but bigger in flavours as well with all those quality ingredients.
If you wanna dig into these massive xiao long bao, Din Tai Fung is making the Tang Bao available at all Singapore outlets from 1 Oct 2021 to 31 Oct 2021 for dine-in.
Do note that it won’t be available at the Republic Plaza branch but you can find it everywhere else in Singapore. Plus there will also be limited portions daily only so head down earlier in the day to avoid disappointment!
Din Tai Fung’s new behemoth is 70% bigger than their classic xiao long bao, and each tang bao is loaded with the same collagen-rich pork broth, juicy minced pork, as well as a luxe touch from dried scallops.
Unlike their diminutive signature baos which are served together in bamboo baskets, each massive tang bao is brought to your table in its own basket. How do you eat it? I don’t know. I’d probably wanna try to solo one all by myself though.
