The weather has been extremely bizarre lately. I’ve taken to bringing my jacket (and umbrella, of course) everywhere with me. As someone who gets cold easily, I’ve been craving a warm bowl of soup.
POP THAI is an adorable little store that has made its way into Wisma Atria. Honestly, with a name like POP THAI, I had assumed they would be closely related to a certain viral place. Though, that’s not to say that I was disappointed. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised!

You can look forward to offerings like mini hotpots, mochi waffles, as well as a range of Korean and Thai-infused street snacks.
When the weather starts to turn colder (or rainier in Singapore’s context), I tend to crave a comforting bowl of soup. So, of course, we have to talk about their mini hotpots.
If you’re on a budget, consider going for their Mini Hotpot Value Meal (S$6.90), where you can customise your soup base and choose up to four ingredients. This also comes with complimentary instant noodles!

Otherwise, you can choose to build your hotpot from scratch. Firstly, you choose between three flavours for their soup base: Tom Yum, Mala Milk, and the Original. Also, I heard that the crowd favourite is Mala Milk, which has an addicting taste that you just can’t stop drinking.
Next, select your ingredients from a range like Sausage (S$1.30 per stick), Daikon (S$1.30 per stick), Cheese Tofu (S$2.50 per stick), Cheese Tteokbokki (S$1.60 per stick), and even more! For carbohydrate options, you can choose between Udon (S$2.60) or Instant Noodle (S$1.50). Do note that there is a minimum quantity of three sticks.

Not looking for a full meal? Take a look at their snack options, which include Cheese Tteokbokki (S$3.20 for six pieces) and Fishball (S$3 for six pieces), with the option to customise your broth.
I mean, there’s always room for desserts (for me, at least). Dessert options include Mochi Waffles with unique flavours like Salted Egg & Fresh Cream (S$6.50) and Tiramisu (S$5.50). If you’re not looking to be adventurous, they also have standard options like Roasted Sugar (S$4.50), Cookies & Cream (S$5.70), Taro (S$5.10), and even more!

Would this eatery be on your list to try out?
