April Fool’s campaigns often just leave us groaning at their lameness. But here’s one that might get a few chuckles — Udders are giving out free ice cream for April Fool’s, in collaboration with… Durex.
So, in a partnership with Durex, Udders are giving out 1 free scoop of ice cream on 2 April 2021 and 3 April 2021. It will be limited to the first 100 scoops, and only available at their Novena outlet.
The redemption is only for their Mao Shan Wang Durian, Botak Coconut Sherbet or Singapore Chendol flavours. Free scoops will be served to customers in cups.
Instructions also included approaching the staff and uttering the magic words of “Udderly Durex”. Then you need to show them you’re following both the Udders and Durex Instagram accounts.

You know your promo is exciting when you start with “THIS IS NOT A PRANK”. I don’t know about you, but Durex isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you talk about ice cream.
But if you have some cheeky friends, you might have noticed Durex actually announced the release of their “limited edition Singapore’s Favourites flavoured condoms” 6 days ago.
Some smart followers pointed out it was just a classic Durex prank.
In the end, turns out they were right and it’s just a prank, bro. We got something better out of it in the end — free ice cream from Udders. You can get filthy but in a much more PG way.
Of course, this isn’t Durex’s first rodeo for April Fool’s. They’ve been at the top of their game for years. Who could forget their insane promises of a mala hot pot flavour in 2019?
First, we got Singaporean favourites so far like hot pot and ice cream. What’s next? Bubble tea? Hokkien Mee? We can only wait and see for next year.
On the other hand, Udders should totally do a free ice cream collab with Durex — for their mala hot pot flavour. Now that’d be a prank for the ages. But for now, just head down for the free Udders ice cream, at least it’s not vanilla.
